Pioneering Precision Tooling & Intelligent Molding Since 1988
Mr. Felix Choi founded Hongrita in Hong Kong in 1988. With the development of business, we have established mold and plastic precision component factories in Longgang District Shenzhen City, Cuiheng New District Zhongshan City and Penang State Malaysia. The Group has 6 physical plants and employs about 2500 people.
Hongrita focuses on “precision molds” and “intelligent plastic molding technology and equipment integration”. “Precision molds” are the most competitive in multi material (multi component), multi cavity, and liquid silicone rubber (LSR) technology; molding processes include injection, extrusion, injection drawing and blowing, and other processes. Equipment integration refers to the integrated application of patented molds, customized molding machines, turntables, self-developed supporting equipment, detection systems, control and management software to form efficient molding solutions.

Over three decades of continuous growth, technological adaptation, and global expansion.
After completing the apprentice program, Mr. Felix Choi, the founder of Hongrita, borrowed money and invested in the first milling machine in June 1988. He rented a corner in a friend's factory and established Hongrita Mould Engineering Company, specializing in mold and hardware parts processing. Mr. Choi’s humble, diligent, and progressive entrepreneurial spirit attracted a group of like-minded partners. With the collaborative efforts of the core team and their excellent skills, the company focused on the design and production of complete molds, establishing a reputation for manufacturing precision plastic molds.
In 1993, riding the wave of national reform and opening up, Hongrita established its first base in Longgang District, Shenzhen, and expanded its business to include plastic moulding and secondary processing. After 10 years of growth, the core team believed that it was necessary to build a unique and differentiated competitive advantage in order to be invincible. In 2003, the company began research and development of multi-material/ multi-component moulding technology and moulding process, and in 2012, Hongrita took the lead in making breakthroughs in liquid silicone rubber (LSR) mould and moulding technology, becoming a benchmark in the industry. By leveraging innovative technologies such as multi-material and LSR, Hongrita has successfully attracted more quality customers by solving customers' product pain points and jointly adding value to development ideas.
In order to expand and strengthen its business, Hongrita established operational bases in Cuiheng New District, Zhongshan City and Penang State, Malaysia in 2015 and 2019, and the management initiated an all-round upgrading and transformation in 2018, formulated a medium- and long-term development plan and ESG sustainable development strategy to fully cultivate a win-win culture. Now, Hongrita is moving towards the goal of building a world-class lighthouse factory by upgrading digital intelligence, AI application, OKR and other activities to improve management effectiveness and per capita efficiency.

As a premier contract injection molding partner, Hongrita bridges the gap between complex engineering concepts and flawless high-volume production. Our specialized tooling solutions and smart factory infrastructure are built to address the strict requirements of modern OEMs.
Multi-component injection molding (2K, 3K, and co-injection) allows for the combination of different materials, colors, and hardnesses in a single manufacturing process. This eliminates the need for post-molding assembly, significantly reducing labor costs and eliminating alignment errors. By utilizing our patented rotating mold technologies and integrated turntable equipment, we help OEMs design products with integrated gaskets, soft-touch grips, or structural reinforcements. Our engineering expertise covers complex material bonding, ensuring perfect adhesion between rigid plastics (like PC, ABS, or PA) and flexible elastomers (like TPE, TPU, or LSR).
Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) has become a vital material in medical machinery components, maternal and baby care products, and automotive sensors due to its thermal stability, chemical resistance, and biocompatibility. Hongrita has been at the forefront of LSR tooling since 2012. We offer cold runner system designs that achieve flashless and wasteless molding, which is crucial for high-cost silicone materials. Whether it is pure LSR molding or multi-material overmolding (LSR/Thermoplastics), our cleanroom workshops ensure that zero-contamination standards are met, especially for medical-grade and baby-care products.
At Hongrita, we do not just build molds; we create complete manufacturing cells. Equipment integration involves combining patented molds, customized injection molding machines, advanced turntables, self-developed automation equipment, and vision inspection systems. By controlling the entire ecosystem, we ensure that the molding process is highly optimized and stable. Real-time monitoring software tracks critical parameters such as melt temperature, injection pressure, and cycle time, adjusting parameters dynamically to prevent defects. This level of digital intelligence is what drives our transition toward becoming a world-class lighthouse factory.
Early Supplier Involvement (ESI) is key to reducing project risk. Our engineering team conducts comprehensive mold flow analyses to predict potential air traps, weld lines, and shrinkage issues before the steel is cut. By collaborating with OEM product designers at the concept stage, we optimize wall thicknesses, gate locations, and cooling channels. This proactive approach saves thousands of dollars in tooling modifications and ensures that the transition from prototype to high-volume production is seamless.
Sustainability is no longer optional. Hongrita's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy is integrated directly into our operations. By utilizing energy-efficient all-electric molding machines, reducing material waste through hot runner systems, and implementing circular economy principles (including ISCC PLUS certified bio-attributed plastics), we help our OEM partners meet their corporate carbon reduction goals.
